Deep-straw bedding

One problem of deep straw bedding is that much straw is needed for keeping the cows clean. You can also have a problem with udder health.

The floor can get too soft so it is possible, that one claw grows more or you get other claw problems. You can solve that problem by manicuring the claws of  the cows with a problem more often.  Another solution is that farmers don't keep the straw layer too thick.

Slatted floors

A big problem is that this kind of floor often gets very slippery when it gets older. Farmers improved it by making a structure into the concrete with a special raw-up machine.  You have to keep in mind that when you raw it up for the first time, the floor has a very sharp structure, so you have to pay more attention to the claws because they will neglect faster!! 
                                      
Sometimes there is a further problem, especially in stables for young cattle, that the openings are too wide.

Some of these floors are very dirty because the farmers have no cleaning system. As a result the claws of the cows become weaker. Farmers have to manicure the claws of their cattle more often.
