• Description of the floor

That kind of floor is a roaster made of concrete or iron. The manure can fall through the openings. Under the floor the manure gets collected or transported outside to a special storage system.

• Cleaning

Slatted floors are cleaned with automatically cleaning systems. Smaller parts often have to be cleaned by hand. But there is also a new invention coming- the manure robot. This robot is driving the whole day through the stable and cleans the floor.

• Quotations and opinions of farmers

The floor is easy to clean. You don’t need an automatic cleaning system, because the manure falls through the openings by itself or when the cows walk on it. But it is better if you have one!
