Our task was to find out everything about feeding a cow. We made some subtopics: How a ration should look like. What a cow needs to produce her milk. We tried to find out how wrong mineral feeding could affect the health of the cow. The mineral feeding was also one of our subtopics. We also had a look how everything is done in our countries.

Our subtopics:

Ration  In order to be able to produce milk, the cow must eat large quantities of food and drink large volumes of water to obtain the nutrients that she needs. The cow is a ruminant which means that, unlike humans, she can make use of fibrous foods such as grass And she use this food for her Production. The protein and fat contents in the milk have to be delivered in this food.  The fat content in the milk is calculated depending on the energy a cow gets. The milk-protein is calculated with the useable protein in the food. The minerals in this feed have to be on a good level so the cow stay's Healthy sometimes it is necessary to give some extra Mineral feeding to keep the mineral level on the optimal level. We try to compare the different way of working and different Situation in our countries so it is possible for you to take a quick look on the different way of working.
