Deep-straw bedding

Deep-straw beeding is the cheapest solution for the laying area . On a normal concrete floor (see also "Floor and walking areas") is a layer of straw. Depending on how often the stable gets cleaned, the straw/ manure layer is thicker or thinner. It is very comfortable for the cows because it is very soft and they have enough space to lay in a natural and comfortable way. Also the rising and laying down is easy and without danger for the animals, since there are no contruction features that have an negative effect.

A big disadvantage is that you need a lot of straw to keep the cows clean. And there can be a big problem with udder healthness, because bacterias are spread easily.
