Structured manure
One opinion to get more minerals in the soil and although don’t use to much chemical fertilizer is to feed more structure in the roughage. "Then the manure is better of quality, because it’s more thicker” told the farmers to us.
- the consistence: not to wet (means less leaching) but not to dry (comes in the soil good)
- more air in the manure (micro organisms could work better)
- less Nitrogen losses (more carbon in the manure)
- higher concentration of the nutriënt
- More structure also effects the rumen, cows can absorb the minerals better and are not that susceptible for rumen acidosis. The bacteria’s in the rumen work better and the digestion is stimulated.
