Potassium Deficiency

Deficiency of Potassium leads to draught on young leave apexes, getting yellow (called chlorosis), inhibition of growth, the root growth is constricted. Older leaves stay green, younger ones get yellow. The stalk cracks in the top part.

Potassium surplus

A surplus appoints Iron, boron, potash, copper, manganese, magnesium, zinc and phosphoric acid. The soil could easily get alkaline, caked and the growth is limited.

Potassium surplus can also cause low magnesium concentrate on grass in pasture, because plants takes too much potassium and reduces other essential nutrients like magnesium and calcium taking. Low magnesium concentrate in grass can cause pasture paralysis for cows.

Potassium losses

Potassium is important for water supply and plants' breathing. If leafs don't get enough water, they become passive. Potassium also helps plants to endure cold.

Usually there's no potassium losses, because they inject manure into the fields and manure includes lots of potassium.
